A retreat-style weekend with guest speaker, Miriam Fisher.
We’re so looking forward to gathering together for a special Coast Women’s event—two beautiful sessions designed to inspire, reflect, and reconnect with God and one another.
We’re thrilled to welcome guest speaker Miriam Fisher—a gifted communicator and deep thinker with a heart for scripture, creativity, and the church. Miriam lectures in Theology and Education at Laidlaw College and has taught across Aotearoa, Australia, and the UK. She’s passionate about helping people engage with faith in ways that are thoughtful, creative, and grounded in the everyday. You can explore more of her work at miriamjessie.com.
Session One: Her Words Matter
Friday 17 July, 7.30pm–9pm, The Hub
An evening of reflection, poetry, storytelling and stitch, exploring the powerful words spoken by women in scripture. We'll honour their legacy and reflect on how our own stories—both beautiful and difficult—fit into the bigger story of faith.
Koha (gift) will be taken for Miriam
Session Two: Mapping Her Faith
Saturday 18 July, 9.30am–12pm, The Hub
A retreat-style morning to pause, reflect, and map the contours of our faith journeys—our wandering, our wonderings, and God’s steady presence through it all. There’ll be space to listen, create, pray, and reorient.
Cost: $15 (includes morning tea + creative materials).
You can make a payment for the Saturday morning by bank transfer to the Coast Vineyard account.
Use “Women’s Event” as the reference and your name in the particulars.
