Christmas is around the corner! While this season is filled with joy and celebration, we also know it can be a challenging time for many. Bills can pile up, loved ones may be far away or no longer with us, and the impact of a tough year can weigh heavily. After a difficult year, we want to spread some Christmas care and cheer to Coasties who may be struggling — financially or emotionally — and could use a pack made and filled with aroha. Each Christmas Care Pack includes a selection of festive treats and food items for recipients to enjoy.
There are three ways you can get involved:
1. Make a Donation
You may want to contribute something (any amount) towards a pack or sponsor a complete care pack for $70. Whatever you’d like to donate to help fund the packs, pop your deposit into the church account by December 10th and use ‘care pack’ as the reference. Every little bit helps, and we’re grateful for whatever you are able to give.
2. Nominate a Coastie
Know someone who could use a little extra joy this Christmas? Anyone can nominate a Coastie for a pack! Once your nomination is received, our team of Christmas elves will assemble the pack and have it warmly delivered during the week leading up to Christmas. Please send in nominations by 1st December by filling out the form below.
3. Volunteer
Come and be part of the fun! Join us on Thursday 18th December from 2pm to help make and deliver packs. To join the team, fill out our form below.
Let’s join hands to share hope, care, and Christmas joy across our Coast community this season.
