As we begin a new year, there is an invitation to slow down and choose to start from a place of abiding — centred, grounded, and attentive to God’s presence.

Living in the buzz of constant noise and activity? Perhaps your soul is longing for a day to retreat, to lay aside the hurry, and simply be with Jesus.

You are invited to ABIDE: A Day Spent With Jesus — a guided Prayer Retreat Day on Saturday 21 February, led by Jacinda Lilly (24/7 Prayer NZ), held at Orewa Baptist Church.

Designed as a gentle, beginner-friendly introduction, this retreat will focus on silence, solitude, and simple ways of connecting with God in prayer. Through light teaching, guided rhythms, and plenty of unhurried space, Jacinda will help create room to listen, rest, and re-centre your heart in God’s presence. True to its name, the day invites you to practise abiding — remaining with Jesus.

Churches from across the Coast are invited to gather for this dedicated space of prayer, reflection, and renewal as we begin the year grounded in God’s presence. It may be the day your soul has been aching for.
