where to from here?
Becoming a Christian isn’t about joining a religion, it’s starting a relationship with God. Following Jesus is a life changing relationship that we live out day to day and can intentionally cultivate and grow in. We start by saying ‘Yes’ to Him and we keep doing that for our whole lives.
As followers of Jesus, we want to cultivate practices that help us to be with Jesus, become like Jesus and do what Jesus did. Here are a few ways to help us do that:
prayer
Prayer is simply talking to God – anywhere, anytime. Talk to Him - share your thoughts, spend time with Him, learn to hear His voice, express your concerns, desires and requests with Him. Take time to pray daily and experience His presence in your life. The Lectio 365 app is a great place to start learning how to pray each day.
bible reading
The Bible is one of God’s primary ways of communicating with us and forming who we are becoming as we follow Him. As you spend time reading it, you’ll get to know Him better and get to know the story of God’s people and your place in it.
We’re reading the New Testament together as a church family which you can access here if you’d like to join us. It’s pretty cool all reading the same things and growing together.

get connected
Following Jesus is a journey best done in the company of others - it’s not a solitary pursuit! When we say ‘Yes’ to following Jesus, we become a part of His family. Becoming part of a church family is an important way to grow in your faith. So, get connected to a church community - attend church on Sundays and find a small group of people that you can figure out life and faith with.
