kia ora - welcome

A warm welcome to parents, caregivers and Coast Kids’ whanau (family).

We’re all about fun, friendship and helping the younger of our Coast Vineyard Family to develop a dynamic faith. We are privileged and excited to play a part in the spiritual guidance and nurture of our Coast Kids.

Children are precious to us - not just for their future potential as ‘big people’ but because God loves to bless and work through ‘little people’ now. It is our heart and commitment to get to know them, love them and have fun along the way!

starting April 7th

SERIES OVERVIEW - turn it up

A 4-WEEK SERIES on David and worship

What do you do when you hear your favourite song?  Turn it up of course! While we might love blasting our favourite music, we can also learn how to turn up God’s voice in our lives.  In this four-week series, kids will follow some key moments in the life of David, the famous musician, poet, and king, and they’ll learn about some of the ways David trusted God during some difficult times in his life.  Through each story, we’ll learn God is with us when we feel weak, God helps us overcome big things, God comforts us when we’re afraid, and God helps us live in harmony.

Parents - you can use the devotions provided to support the series if you’re interested.

** Hey Families - we are challenging our kids to explore the Bible together with you and their cuddly soft toy buddies!  Each day from April 7th - April 13th we will challenge kids to read a short passage from the Bible out loud to you or you read it to them (depending on their reading ability).  Your kids can then write, draw, or reflect on what they felt, learned, or were challenged by while reading.

If you would like to participate in this challenge with your kids, we recommend finding a set time of day where you can all meet together for a few moments each day this week.  It may be . . .

  • Before school while you’re eating breakfast

  • After sharing dinner together

  • In the car on the way to school or after-school activities

  • Right before bed each night

  • Or anytime that is convenient for your family

Begin your time together by reading the recommended verses and then encourage your kids to reflect on what they read as they work through their Bible Buddy Reading Plan journal (link).  You can print out your own copy from the link or we will have physical printed copies available a church on April 7th for you to take home.  On April 14th remind your kids to bring their journals with them to church so they can share what they learned and to receive their prize!

You can also join the Coast Kids Facebook Group and our weekly email for regular updates.

new to coast?

For anyone new to Coast Vineyard, we need you to register your child/ren with us to help us to know and care for your children. You can use the form below so your kids are already signed up for Coast Kids when you arrive on a Sunday, or you can do this in person on Sundays too.
